Unable to drag related field in custom subject area while using DCL field in CX report.

Summary:
We are currently working on a CX report where the requirement is to add the Customer Family DCL field.
To achieve this, we created a custom subject area, and the data for the Customer Family field is coming correctly. However, when we use this custom subject area in the report, the field related to Customer Family is not getting dragged into the report. Instead, it becomes frozen/unselectable, as shown in the attached screenshot.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? Could you please suggest the possible cause and resolution?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
