Unable to Cancel Automatic Tasks in Advanced Collections Strategy (Customer Strategies Tab)

I’m currently working with Oracle Fusion Advanced Collections and have observed specific behavior while managing strategy tasks under the Customer > Strategies tab.

For a customer strategy assignment, I have an automatic task (e.g., dunning letter) with:

  • Status: Wait
  • Type: Automatic

However, the “Cancel” button is disabled, while the “Skip” option is available.

Clarification required:

  1. Is this standard system behavior that automatic tasks in Wait / To Be Created status cannot be cancelled via the UI?
  2. Under what conditions or states is the Cancel action enabled for strategy tasks?
  3. Is there any functional configuration or profile option that can allow cancellation of such tasks from the UI?
