Integrating IoT-driven Capabilities

in Maintenance

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking into integrating IoT-driven capabilities (such as Predictive Maintenance and Asset Health monitoring etc) with our Oracle Fusion Cloud Maintenance environment.

Based on recent updates (specifically around updates 25A, 25C, and 25D regarding Smart Operations and Connected Assets), I understand that Oracle is moving away from its legacy, standalone IoT platform. Instead, the strategy is to consume structured asset events from external operational systems (SCADA, Historians, Edge, or 3rd-party IoT vendors) via REST-based payloads.

As someone who is relatively new to this architecture and looking to get on track from scratch, I would love some guidance from the community on a few points:
