Custom Performance Goal Notification not working

Summary:

We've customized the performance goals notifications to add the minimum and maximum targets from the measurements. We followed the instructions from doc 2331021.1 and this site: how-do-i-configure-approval-notifications-for-performance-goals.pdf. Yet the notifications still show the standard template.

Any help would be appreciated.

Steps:

• Ensure BIP notification lookups have been enabled for performance goals as per document.
• Find the notification on XMLPServer and click Customize.
• Copy the associated data model to the custom folder and add the min/max target fields and export the sample XML.
• Associate the new data model to the custom notification.
