Delete performance goal in a Check-in Document

Hi, we are facing this issue:

Supposing at the beginning of the year a Goal is assigned to me.

Then I do the Mid Year Check-in with evaluation and my manager recognize the Goal is no longer correct to me and want to delete it.

As of now the system doesn't allow me to delete this record because is contained on a check-in document. We would like to have the possibility to cancel the goal (CANCEL not DELETE). How can we do?
