Default benefits relationship is not defaulting to the new hires

Summary:

We ran the 'Assign and Update Benefit Relationship' process in Production, and the benefit relationship was successfully defaulted for all existing employees. However, this default benefit relationship is not happening automatically for new hires. In lower environments, the benefit relationship gets auto defaulted for new hires without any manual intervention. Should we schedule this process to run on a daily basis in Production to ensure new hires are covered as well?
