CMP-1005449 raised during Hire although the progression grade ladder has Include Salary Updates = No

On Redwood Flow Create Work Relationship / Hire, Release 26B:

Configuration

• Client uses grade ladder as a structural object only. Include Salary Updates = No. Salary is deliberately not defaulted from the ladder or grade rate.
• The grade rate values (minimum / midpoint / maximum) are used for salary range validation, compa-ratio and salary range position on the salary record.
• The salary basis has a salary basis type "determined by rates"
• Grade Ladder, Grade and Salary Basis are all present in the flow.

Observed behaviour

When the salary basis is selected in the Salary section, this warning appears:

The salary record won't be updated from the grade ladder because the current salary amount isn't determined by user or simple components. (CMP-1005449)
