Approval rule to be configured on Development Goal

in Performance Management

Hi Team,

We have a requirement for the Development Goal approval flow in Oracle Fusion HCM:

  • When an employee creates a Development Goal, it should be routed to the employee’s Line Manager for approval.
  • When the Line Manager creates a Development Goal it should be automatically approved, and the employee should receive an FYI notification.
  • The approval rule should be able to distinguish whether the Development Goal was created by the employee or by the Line Manager.

Could you please confirm the recommended Oracle Fusion HCM configuration for this requirement, specifically how we can identify the transaction initiator/requester versus the goal owner in the approval rule conditions and configure the appropriate approval routing?
