Has anyone used multiple statement cycles in AR?

Summary: I wanted a way to combine Transaction Types on a statement for customers and thought I would use Statement Cycle (since that is an option for generating the statements to print/email). I created a new Statement Cycle in non-Prod and added a record under History so that a couple of the Transaction Types were now on this other Statement Cycle. This bundled them together on the statement as I wanted, but also made the Customer show up twice in the selection list from statement generation. It also generated 2 late fees for the customer when I
