journey task was assigned to Manager's Manager instead of the employee's direct Line Manager

We would like assistance investigating an issue with an Oracle Journeys task assignment.
Issue Summary:
- Employee: ****
- Hire Date: 26-May-2026
- Line Manager: Steven
- Journey Task Performer Configuration: Line Manager
- Journey Task Owner Configuration: Area of Responsibility (Area HR Manager)
We observed that the probation review journey task was assigned to Barrie (Manager's Manager) instead of the employee's direct Line Manager, Steven.
Validation Performed:
- Reviewed the Journey template configuration and confirmed that the task performer is configured as Line Manager.
- Reviewed the employee's assignment history and confirmed that Steven has been the Line Manager since the hire date.
- No manager changes or assignment updates have occurred since hire.
