Prevent Maintenance Work Order Creation from Depot Repair When Asset Is Not Present in Inv Org

Hello Everyone,

We have observed the following behavior in Oracle Fusion Depot Repair and would like to understand whether there is any standard functionality available to prevent it.

On the Depot Repair screen, when a Service Request (SR) is associated with the repair order, users can click the Repair button to create a Maintenance Work Order. However, the system allows Work Order creation even when the related asset has already been shipped out of the Inventory Organization and is no longer physically available.

From a business perspective, maintenance activities should only be performed when the asset is present in the Inventory Organization. Allowing Work Orders to be created for assets that have been shipped out leads to inaccurate maintenance planning and data integrity concerns.

Howdy, Stranger!
