We have our Medical and Dental plan names and rates changing for Open Enrollment 2027. For the new hires, the rule is that their rates and coverages are effective beginning of next month. For the new hires who are hired in December, we are trying to figure out how best to handle them.

We cannot directly process Open enrollment for them as of 01/01/2027 since the EOI rules are different between new Hire and Open Enrollment life events.

Could you please let us know if someone has handled this kind of situation, we would like to know how we can process the vents correctly for December new hires so that they see the updated plan names and their rates are correct.
