Customised Product Picker in SR details page

This guide describes a custom Product picker on the Oracle Fusion Service Redwood Service Request (SR) details page, implemented in Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio). Users can browse product groups, expand the hierarchy, search for products, select a product or group, and clear the selection to return to the root groups.

The solution uses a virtual field and a field template; it does not introduce a new persisted Product attribute. The existing SR product and product-group fields remain the source of saved data. 

1. Create the customProd virtual field

  1. Open the SR details page in VB Studio and navigate to Layouts → ServiceRequests → Fields
