Can we set event to close when elections are made from self service side?

Summary:

As part of OE process, admin team is wanting system to close the events as soon as elections are submitted. Is there any setup in Oracle to function this way? I am aware of the Admin's ability to setup this rule for Benefits Service center. I am specifically looking for Self service pages.
