Can Multiple Tax Rates Be Configured for a Single Expense Type

Hello,

We would like to confirm the recommended configuration for an expense type that may be subject to different tax rates in Oracle Expenses.

Currently, we maintain separate expense types for each tax rate—for example, “Meals – 8%” and “Meals – 10%.”

We would prefer to use a single expense type, such as “Meals,” and allow the appropriate tax rate to be selected or determined for each expense.

Could you please clarify the following?

  1. Can multiple tax rates be associated with a single expense type without creating a separate expense type for each tax rate?
  2. If so, how should this be configured, and how is the applicable tax rate selected or determined during expense entry?

Howdy, Stranger!
