Re: java -r fmw_12.2.1.4.0_infrastructure any error occurred
I forgot to mention that if this is a new installation, I strongly recommend not wasting time with Forms/Reports 12.2.1.4. This version will end error correction support in September 2024. The latest version is 12.2.1.19 and is supported at least until December 2026. It also includes dozens of bug fixes and improvements over .4.
If you ensist on using F/R 12.2.1.4, you will need to install these patches to overcome some known issues.
- 28186730 (oPatch)
- 33903365 (Fusion Middleware Control)
- 30613424 (Fusion Middleware Control)
- 35877512 (Forms Quarterly Patch Release - Oct 2023)
Without the first three, you may have problems with Fusion Middleware Control.
For the moment, let's assume you did not start the servers correctly. To start correctly, do the following:
1 The DB that contains the FMW Infra repository must be running and accessible.
2 Open a DOS shell with elevated privledges (i.e., "Run as administrator") and CD to DOMAIN_HOME\bin
3 In that shell, execute as follows:
start startNodeManager.cmd start startWebLogic.cmd
4 Open a browser and navigate to Fusion Middleware Control
http://localhost:7001/em
5 Login and start the managed servers.
Also, If you plan to use Reports there are post domain creation steps required. Specifically, you must complete the steps explained in Section 2.4.7.3 after successfully starting then stopping WLS_REPORTS the first time.
Those steps won't fix your current problem, but it is important to mention them.
If the above information does not help, it might be easier to just drop the domain and recreate it. This includes dropping the associated FMW Infra schemas associated with this domain. Carefully follow the instructions for installation and again, I recommend using F/R 12.2.1.19 instead of 12.2.1.4
