It indicates the Exadata host OS is blocking the ILOM virtual USB device used for video/storage redirection due to Linux USB authorization and/or USBGuard policy, not a browser issue, Edge on Windows 11 meets ILOM’s requirements, so resolve it by authorizing the device via sysfs (for example, echo 1 > /sys/bus/usb/devices/1-1/authorized or echo 1 > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usbX/authorized_default) or by allowing the device in USBGuard (usbguard list-devices -b; usbguard allow-device <id> and add a persistent allow rule), then relaunch the ILOM Remote System Console Plus; if policy forbids USB changes, stage the Guardium installer over the network and use the console only for video/KVM.

You can try for sure and see if that resolves the issue, this should happen during a E1 service restart and depending on if you have it set to autostart, otherwise the XMLP kernels are started based on the RD submission.

Make sure you submit a RD job.
When capturing debug logs I typically narrow it down by forcing the RD job to the LJK and that way you only have to review the LJK.
Oracle SBC Implementation Certification Professional
Hello,
I have some questions regarding the SBC certificaiton path.
As I understand, there are only two certifications:
Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Basic Certified Implementation Professional
But, there are a lot of trainings:
Oracle SBC Configuration and Administration, Oracle SBC Advanced Config, Oracle SBC Troubleshooting, Operations and Maintenance, Oracle OSDMC Introductory Overview, Oracle SBC Additional Content: SIP Signaling Services, Oracle SBC Additional Content: Management, Maintenance & Troubleshooting, Oracle Additional Content: Security.
For Basic Certified Implementation professional, the recommended training information:
Follow one of these courses (optional):
- Oracle SBC Configuration and Administration
- Oracle SBC Troubleshooting
- Session Border Controller (SBC) —> link leads to a learning path overview page where all trainings are listed.
For Troubleshooting Certified Implementation Professional there's only this information about recommended training:
- A combination of Oracle training and hands-on experience (attained via labs and/or field experience), in the learning subscription, provides the best preparation for passing the exam.
My questions:
- Which courses need to be taken in order to prepare for an exam (Basic and Troubleshooting certification)?
- Can we purchase course material (Student Guides / Activity Guides), without participating in a instructor-lead course?
- Are there any other certifications regarding the Oracle SBC?

I am going to assume (maybe I'm wrong), that many organizations look at the scheduled release dates at the beginning of the year to plan out their upgrade schedule for the year and do not go check those release dates on a regular basis. So, I am going to take a guess and say that there will be more questioning and complaints happening as peoplesoft admins log in to download the expected PUM53 only to find out that it's been delayed. Is this going to be placed anywhere prominently where users are more likely to see this?

Was there any announcement for this? We try and plan our schedules at the beginning of the year and now we have our business teams up in arms over having to change this schedule.

Task should be disappear right after altering the lookup and of course you can test the same on a Test instance first.

Many thanks for the useful link. This is exactly the answer to my unspoken question why does SBC put the OCSM into 'acl untrusted' list despite the access-control-trust-level set to 'high' in OCSM's personal realm.

many thanks for the info and sharing your personal experience , by the way connecting OCSM through media interface is by sure more fast then connecting to wancom0 , but be aware that traffic is considered always untrusted there , so probably is needed to tune some parameters related to "max-untrusted-signaling" or the risk is to lose some data during peak time .

It's not supported combination having AI and SES running different versions. This has not been tested by Oracle Engineering/QA. You are recommended to bring all your installation to the same version.
