Re: Support Timeline for Oracle Linux Release 7 (OL7) on Base Database Service (Doc ID 3056652.1)
"will i still be getting security/bug patches for OL7?"
This is a question for Oracle OS Support/Oracle Cloud Support, not Oracle Database.
"Will i still be getting database patches for 19c?"
Yes
"Are we covered by extended support as we running the oracle workload on OCI?"
You will need to confirm this with Oracle Cloud Support.
Re: Creating a Trigger for grants post table creation
Hello,
about creating a trigger, I had provided a script … 15 years ago ;-) https://community.oracle.com/mosc/discussion/4418772/automatic-maintenance-of-privileges but it is of course outdated (for example: DBMS_JOB must be replaced by DBMS_SCHEDULER), it is not really worth mentioning it, but I write this reply to stress the attention on an new feature for Oracle 23ai: we can grant privileges at the schema level, which is a smarter way to address the point. There are probably not yet many people using the version 23, but the day you move from 19 to 23, think about it ;-)
Best regards,
Bruno Vroman.
Re: Autoupgrade Patching Multible Instances on same Host
You see, the problem is that I always use logic to understand, and anything that falls out of that, is weird. So you specify "dummy" because everybody knows there are two rounds and in this first round it then must be set to not the correct SID.
Wow.
Re: I procurement --we need user guide to add photos to items in i Procurement EBS R12
Hi,
I have moved this question into the Oracle E-Business Suite (MOSC)› Procurement - EBS (MOSC)› Procurement - EBS (MOSC) subcategory for those subject matter experts to further engage.
If an answer resolves your question, please choose the "YES" on that comment for "Did this answer the question?".

Re: "This Dream Writer version currently does not exist" error in JDE E1.
From Oracle Support: thank you for the post Vivek.
Our ability to troubleshoot custom code is very limited; we would be able to work with you under an SR (Service Request) to validate that the standard program works correctly and that the configuration is correct, but not to look at your custom. If you do raise the SR, please attach a document showing the full Work Center message and the processing options of your R42565 version.

Re: Lot-Serial button in Receipt window
Hi,
When processing receipts for items that are both lot and serial controlled, the order in which you see the Lot Entry and Serial Entry windows is primarily determined by the Lot Indivisible attribute at the item level.
For an item that is both lot and serial controlled, to have the Serials screen appear first in the Receipts form (and other transactions), you must uncheck (set to No) the “Lot Indivisible” item attribute.
Explanation is below :
- Lot Indivisible = Yes:
You must specify the lot first and serials are then assigned to that lot (Lot Entry window appears before Serial Entry). - Lot Indivisible = No:
You can assign serials before deciding which lot each serial belongs to (Serial Entry window appears before Lot Entry).

Ionut
