Querying Oracle Support data (SRs) remotely via API / ODBC

Hi all,

I am looking for an answer to the following question:

"Can I query information regarding my open SRs via a remote protocol (API/ODBC etc) without having to log on to the MySupport site?"

Essentially I am looking to produce an automated report which lists our open SRs, last update date/time and status; currently this task is performed manually and seems like a totally unnecessary activity.

I have done a fair bit of KB and googling but unfortunately I keep getting flooded with "Oracle ODBC instructions" etc and not info on how to actually query Oracle itself. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

Yes, you can customize the RunOneWorld.sh to remove the files from temporary folder.

Based on the content of the file you are showing here, these files are PCL printer spool files created by the UBEs submitted with PrintImmediate option.

You may also consider following the below action plan to have the spool files removed after they are sent to the printer:

1. Login on Server Manager Management Console and open the Enterprise Server on which the temporary files are getting accumulated in the temporary folder.
2. In the "Configuration" frame, select "Advanced" view and then click on "Logging and Diagnostics" link
3. Search for "Keep UBE Logs" and change the setting from "Keep Logs After Printed" to "Remove Logs Once Printed"
4. Save the settings and then restart the services on the Enterprise Server.

NOTE: The same setting can be changed directly in JDE.INI under [DEBUG] stanza by changing from KeepLogs=1 to KeepLogs=0.

In order to use a capture filter, you need to setup something like this. It took me a while to figure out why i could displayfilter, but capture filter was useless. This way you're not sifting through 10 million packets of RTP to find the data you need. Obviously, this ONLY filters on signaling.

Thanks David,

I had seen that but thought that it purely related to Oracle WebLogic rather than the Integration API.

I have just spotted that at the top of page 7 it states that the Integration API is depreciated as of version 16.1 but it is still being shipped with V24.

I hope that it is not dropped in future versions as we rely on it to integrate with Power BI.

I will give JDK11 a try.
