There is no ready means to create a consolidated work order. This would best be a manual process, to have the greatest flexibility. The lot for lot order policy code, by design, will only bring the requirement quantity, date by date. A consolidated order would carry the excess inventory from the date of the first demand to the date of the subsequent demand date. Hence, a planner can alter messages as needed to meet constraints that are outside of the planning setup. You may want to consider using fixed order quantity (OPC=2) or a minimum or a multiple if that would meet your business requirement. Order Policy Code 4, periods of supply, allows for consolidated orders, so is only recommended for lower cost items where carrying costs are not prohibitive. There are planning constraints for OPC 4 items, so recommendation is to test fully, prior to implementation of Period or Supply.
