Re: What happened to My Oracle Support?
Not sure it will help but adding my voice; MOS is now completely & utterly useless to me. The deal breakers for me are: FAV data lost & non functional & search is just completely useless; as above post mentioned, search results that have nothing whatsoever to do with keyword or even AI phrase based searches. The results are meaningless.
It will be very interesting if this is not totally resolved in about 3-4 weeks! Patching in mid JAN will be a nightmare. Just checked the fusion middleware patch advisory doc (only found via Google). It has missing expanding sections & images & looks way less than ideal with the "new" "improved" page layout….
I sort of hope we can get some gaming community style mass outrage… maybe we can get some more leverage!
Re: What happened to My Oracle Support?
From what i can see, there is still nothing useful in what has been "addressed" with the new MOS and it appears that all of our pleas for mercy and bringing back the old site is falling on deaf ears. Everything is just simply gone and impossible to find. Has Oracle ever heard of user-training? Does Oracle have a document that maps out all the old MOS functionality option-by-option, tab-by-tab, etc, to the new site? Maybe a video tutorial that does the same? the MOSC help icon/button isn't worth its placement on the page as it seems to not understand anything we ask or question. My admin team and I have been searching for things since the new rollout, and we keep coming up empty-handed. The DBA team is also struggling to find anything. If we are lucky, something might pop-up accidentally that looks familiar but ends up not being useful. Some pages we did find have links to other pages, that are useless and only have links back to where you just came from. It was recently posted that "this is more important as we are in cloud". Well Oracle may be in the cloud as are some of their customers, but there are still many more of us that are NOT. It continues to be unbelievable that Oracle would do this to their customers and completely an utterly interrupt/impact business operations. We are falling so far behind in getting information to our leadership team about upgrades, vulnerabilities, and patches (for applications and tools) that it is impacting our ability to do any of the required work. If I am remembering correctly, we had an option to either use the classic MOS site, or the Cloud site. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD MOS so your customers can get back to work.
Re: How can we Print or Download knowledge documents
Just tried it and the title was truncated. Much better than it was, but not 100%.
Re: How can we Print or Download knowledge documents
Printing directly from the My Oracle Support portal may not provide ideal formatting. Enhancements to browser print formatting are underway.
How can you call it resolved? Pages in MOS look like they are formatted for mobile use. They look horrible in a desktop browser. This is not resolved.
Re: How can we Print or Download knowledge documents
Also please at least add proper title to documents. I mean HTML title and other metadata if possible.
Now each printed or bookmarked document is just "Knowledge Article" by default and requires manual change before saving.
Oracle, If you really expect users to use browser to bookmark articles - why you put 0 ("zero") metadata into your articles? Proper citation (bookmarking is kind of citation) requires such metadata to exist.
This is how <head> metadata looks like now (no title, no author, no date, no document id, etc.):
<head>
<meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=edge">
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
</head>

Re: What happened to My Oracle Support?
What about the Hot Topics, Bugs and Bug Matrix. Are these items that are just gone forever? How does Oracle expect a customer to stay up to date on a given topic? We used to be able to do this via Hot Topics to favorited documents and bugs. Then, when an update was made the system would tell us. Now we have to go and check? Is that the expectation?
Additionally, I just checked the previous favorites and I have nothing…so it isn't fixed it is still broke.
Re: My Oracle Support, are you really happy with what you've delivered ?
It seems that Oracle wants everyone to migrate to SAP 😂😂😤
