Let me join the list of customers that are really unhappy with this new and cough improved cough support portal. It's awful. Simply awful!!!! No way to sugar-coat it, it's awful.
Where is the Certifications tab? I can't for the life of me seem to find anything that had that functionality in the new site.
Where are my old favorites? Oh..I see that Oracle Support was kind to put them in profile—>Preferences—>Previous Favorites. However, I had lots of faves bookmarked so I did what people naturally do, I categorized them by storing the favorites in different folders. None of my favorites that were in folders are in my list of Previous Favorites. Apparently this is a known issue.
The primary goal of these changes is to enhance the safety and security of My Oracle Support (MOS), which is especially important as we continue to operate in the cloud.
While that may have been your big reason to change, our big reason for using MOS was to get support! Its great that you think this is a more secure platform. But its very unusable in its current form.
Where are the Announcements?
Where is the, what used to be, ever present link to the latest/greatest CPU?
Now that the MOS Notes have been migrated to KB articles and the old links don't work any more, I'd like to start generating a new list of favorites, but I cant seem to do that any more.
These updates are significant, and adapting to them can be challenging for everyone—including Support Engineers.
Agree…no one likes change. But this isn't change. This is a very user UNFRIENDLY system. Please revert it back to what it was before.

I suggest we should get as many customers as possible to force Oracle change back to the old MOS version. We pay lots of money for licenses and maintenances to Oracle and we deserve to have better service, not this piece of drunk!

Enable BCT on the database to significantly reduce read I/O during incremental backups. In the Rubrik console's, limit the number of RMAN Channels to approximately 25–30% of available CPU cores and, if necessary, apply a RATE parameter limit to throttle per-channel throughput. Additionally, verify that the Large Pool within the SGA is adequately sized to accommodate RMAN buffers, align the SLA Domain schedule with off-peak hours, and validate the impact using AWR reports to confirm that critical EBS transactions are not degraded.

Irrespective of the OS we do configure Oracle specific ports to be opened and as well as valid clients IPs that are outside of the network.

The 2025 1099 ESU includes a new enhancement - TIN Masking!
A new processing option “Mask the Recipient's TIN” was added to the Write Media (P04515) to allow 1099 forms to be printed with the TIN number masked. Valid values are:
- Blank: Print the nine-digit TIN without masking.
- 1: Print the last four digits and masks the first five digits of the TIN. (for example, XXX-XX-6789).

Re: Running Savings Age Catch-Up Extension in 2026

Our (Support) understanding is that the As Of Date should continue to be 12/31 of the processing year. If we consider the fact that additional processing will not update any existing rows on the table, for now my recommendation is as follows:
- The first run of the year would be done after at least most of the wage adjustments have been done after year end processing (so maybe closer to W-2 processing. That run would be set to As of Date 12/31/2026, with Roth Threshold checked so that all employees who met the criteria for that are captured.
- Subsequent runs to catch new hires who meet the age extension requirements are run as per your organization's schedule, exactly the way you may be running them today. The Roth Threshold is now a non-issue because new hires are not subject to it as you would not have or need to have their prior year's FICA earnings.
We will be discussing this with Development in the next few days, so if there is an update I will post it here.
