Convert to Unicode?

We are about to upgrade to HCM 9.2/PT 8.55 (from HCM 9.1/PT 8.54).

We are on SQL Server 2012 SP2 non-Unicode.

I have read in another thread that we cannot use Upgrade Source Images on a non-Unicode database.

I am wondering if we need to convert to Unicode.

Will we have problems in the future using the PUM for updates if we stay non-Unicode?

Are there other reasons why we should convert to Unicode to make life with PeopleSoft easier?
