NSC | How to Update Journal Entry Memo Through CSV

Scenario:

The user would like to know how to add and / or update Notes in 20 Journal Entries through CSV

Solution:

Create a CSV file with the following columns:

  1. Note: Memo
  2. Note: Transaction
  3. Internal ID of the Journal

To Add User Notes:

  1. Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
  2. Import Type = Communications
  3. Record Type = Notes
  4. Select your file
  5. Data Handling = Add
  6. Map the following (Note = Note : Memo (Req)Internal ID (Journal Entry) = Note: Transaction-Click pencil Icon beside Internal ID-Choose Reference Type = Internal ID)
  7. Click Done
  8. Save and Run Import.

To Update User Notes:

  1. Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
  2. Import Type = Communications
