NSC | Resolve Error when deleting a Package
Scenario
A user attempts to delete a pre-defined package but encounters the following error: “This record cannot be deleted, because it is referred to by other records.”
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Shipping > Packages tab.
- Select a Package.
- Click Remove.
- Click Submit.
Actual Result: The system displays the error: “This record cannot be deleted, because it is referred to by other records.”
Explanation / Solution:
Package types created under Setup > Accounting > Shipping > Packages can only be deleted if they are not associated with any existing records.
If the package has been used in any of the following, deletion will not be allowed:
