How to prevent shipping recalculation on invoice after adding a warranty line item- UPS Integration?

We use the UPS integration and calculate shipping costs on the item fulfillment.

Sometimes we need to add a warranty line to the invoice, but doing so forces us to recalculate shipping on the invoice, which gives us an incorrect amount.

The calculated amount:

The first shipping cost is the correct one; it's calculated via the UPS integration for the package size, and it's calculated on the item fulfillment. The second ignores the information entered on the item fulfillment.

I need to be able to add the warranty line item to the invoice without recalculating shipping.
