What are my backup options if Integrated Shipping is not working?

We are going live with the native Integrated Shipping and have configured accounts for both UPS and Fed x 2 (per location). What are my workaround options, in case the integrated shipping functionality fails to work at go-live? Can labels still be printed and orders shipped and fulfilled?
