On my webstore, I have strikethrough pricing enabled so that items will demonstrate the discount the customer is receiving if their price is not the default level price.
However, with the example below the left item is a matrix item, the right is not. All matrix items are not displaying the discount on the search, the quick view but are for the page when a matrix option is selected, where as all non-matrix items are displaying for all.

When I'm on the item page and have a colour selected it will show the strikethrough price. So I'm guessing it's because on the search and browse I'm looking at the parent which is displaying differently than a child does.
