@Jason_Moore, no it is not working. I tried through workflow and script as well. As checked, I am unable to disable/make mandatory/make non-mandatory some line fields.

Hi, I am facing the same issue while disabling the rate and gross amount fields in the item line on the sales order form. But disable feature is working fine for the amount field in my case. I have tried with the script also but it not worked.
