If you use the function"enforce credit holds", and apply the script that sets new customers credit to 0, you can correct all customer credit limits at once (either with a limit or with 0). Once that is done, and your script is running, you can have the terms be "prepay", and the sales order will be blocked from saving,…

I am just implementing Netsuite (SB) and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of this functionality. Prepay/CAD is such a common and basic commercial term that we should not be creating work-arounds. I would really appreciate if someone could indicate a process to deal with prepay both on the: - purchasing side…

The form won't let you enter both a payment method and terms. Perhaps you should just always use invoice and then just use a customer payment for immediate cash payment? Thanks, -e This is exactly what we do, and it works well for us. Although, to be honest, I did it the same way you described in the beginning of this…

AGREED! We do alot of COD and PREPAY. :( denise not to mention, if you discount using the feature on the top of the sales order, it also discounts the COD fee! It will only discount the shipping fee if the discount item is set up as a percentage. If it is a set dollar amount, it won't do this. It ties back to your discount…
-
did you designate it to print on your forms? I think the default just prints the price, not the extended price.
-
ray, Ill be happy to cote for it- any chance you know the case #?
-
Baruch, Any chance of making the disclaimer area easier to put in text you want. It seems to auto-format itself and not based off html. + increase the size. I wanted to change our disclaimers recently and had the hardest time would you believe. I am also trying to change this- Ray, do I have any hope of including a 1.5…

Easily done- add a custom field and apply it to the forms you need. Create a list of project codes with notes, and this will be available via a drop down- can even be created when making the custom field. Good luck!
-
I don't understand your explanation at all. We have custom Sales Order - Invoice forms, and Sales Order - Cash Sale (SOI and SOCS for short - those terms are _so_ unwieldy!). You're saying that we could have customized the Standard Sales Order, and it would show terms, and also have a payment field, and if we entered…

Hi There, On item records, the supplier name/code only works on the purchasing side of transactions. For example, If item name is XYZ, and the supplier/purchasing name is XYZ123, the item will appear as XYZ on sales orders, cash sales, invoices and fulfillments. The supplier name of XYZ123 will appear on PO's, etc. In…

heh... you ARE a lucky lady! But seriously, you had mentioned a transaction layout which made me think you would be dealing with a variable number of lines. If this is the case, then a mail merge will not work. If you posted an example of what you want the form to look like I could better guide you. ALSO... if you need…

The BFO PDF library is what you want to do for this. I've created 5-6 forms for our business using this great library. It requires lots of scripting, but it's the only real way to get a printable, quality looking document. How lucky is that? The one guy I wanted to ask outright responded! Great minds think alike. However,…

You can do this on the custom record form itself by navigating to: Setup-customization-record types choose the custom record type you want to allow permissions to On the Permissions tab, you can allow the level of access you choose save. Have them log out and back in and voila. alternatively, in the role permissions, under…

You probably have some restrictions in place in the employee role that prevent them from seeing or choosing other emplyees. Look in the role, if that doesnt pan out, take a look in the employee record itself. I am leaning towards a box that says 'limit to self and subordinates' or something along those lines.

Ahh, I see. Perhaps I should clarify then. Often times, as what happened in my case, there were people at the company who were trained, and then left. When I came aboard, there was nobody left who knew anything about NS. Due to the challenges I faced, in actually administering a system I didnt understand, the training was…
-
he bumped us! We just missed it, Evan, thats all. ;) been a bit busy in here.... Hello there Kathy, what kind of training are you looking for? THere is an absolute wealth of knowledge and tips here in the user group, that search button comes in very handy... If you are looking for training as in a class, NS has some…

I've been using netsuite for 2 years. All we use is the accounting portion because we have found the CRM and Website to be inadequate for our business process. I've read all the user guides over time. Most things don't work exactly as the User Guides say. I hope they're more accurate than they used to be. We dont pay for…

I am also a new user.We fired out accountant and I was asked to assume the role of maintaing out NetSUite account. I am a medical office manager not an accountant. I have no idea where to start. I am open to any and all the help I can get. I am finding that the online training and resource guides are not very useful. Wow,…

They won't replace training, Lisa, but here is a link to whitepapers that are available for public view. When I was still researching a lot, I found many of them very helpful. Also, if you have specific questions on them, you can always ask in here, and will usually get a quick response.…

This is simple to do using the formula field in reporting- add the colums you want to source from, then add the formula column. The formulas cannot be customized, so you cant get to creative, but the basic functionality of percentage is there, I believe.
-
We did our website in Martian and it worked better than in NS... just kidding! It worked equally as good but did not integrate. LOL- Wiz, you are one in a million.;)
-
I may have misunderstood your question or perhaps my understanding of Netsuite is inadequate in which case I apologise but have you really understood what netsuite suitescripts are? Suitescripts are scripts which call APIs which exist only in Netsuite. Saying that you want to use suitescripts on a non-netsuite website is…

This is possible by creating a custom form itself, and applying your layout. setup-customization-transaction forms click edit for the sales order form you want to use You will see several tabs, the one labeled screen fields is what is displayed on the order entry screen, the one labeled printing fields controls what is…
-
did you try setup-company-general preferences, and change the date format there?
-
Hey Clint- thank you! Even though I didnt need it, I was pretty proud of mysefl for coming up with that using the reference guides to teach me(and a couple of engineers laughing at me and making bets) Good to know I was at least on the right track. And I did test what Evan told me. It worked like a charm- go figure- the…
-
One last question here- this works well, but what if we want to ship something COD? it isnt really on terms, so the credit limit should not matter, but it seems like I cant get this to work as I am testing.
-
no- that will not work- what I need to know specifically is: what is the name of the function that handles the saving of sales order data?' According to my in house guy".the save button can be disabled, but you need the function to trigger when they click save...so that won't work...there has to be a specific function that…
-
Ok then- thanks! I'll be counting on this.
-
What I don't udnerstand is how this is different from what is available now. Let me be concrete - here is how NetSuite currently works with its built-in credit limit handling when set to enforce holds. Customer A has a credit limit of $1000. They have an open invoice of $750. User tries to enter a sales order of type…

but of course- being an idiot does not mean I'm that stupid ;) Have a great day, Mr. Goldberg...
