Please enable the Detect Duplicates Across Subsidiaries checkbox. This should give you the warning banner that the record may have duplicates.

In the Setup > Company > Company Management > Duplicate Detection (Administrator), what customer field did you set to detect customer duplicates?

Hi @User_HPB3I, Joe can add Dave as the second assignee in Task 1, and once he changes the status from In Progress to Completed, Dave will also be notified using the saved search email. I consulted this internally and another option to do this is to create a script.

To isolate the issue, if this has something to do with the workflow or sending outbound emails, please manually send an email to the next approver to check if they can receive emails from NetSuite. Then navigate to Setup > Company > Communication > Sent Email List to confirm the status of the message.

Hi @paula.courtemanche, Please check the followng; Is there any undelivered email in Lists > Mailing > Undelivered Email? Remove email addresses from lists via Lists > Relationships > Bounced Email Addresses. You can also see the reason why the email was not delivered from this page. I hope this helps.
