@Angela Bayliss yes, I tried that and do have the permission. The issue is that we are looking to edit the memo without revoking the approval.

The name in my report is showing the role name who made the change. is it possible to see the person using the role that made the change the role associated with the permission change right now the report just shows the permission but not what role it was modified for
