rnedelkow, ...a "journey" through development...that sounds fun. Like the Donner party's "journey" to the exciting new western frontier. David, your Magento cost are either much more inflated than mine or else you're getting a much better deal on converting to SCA or maybe you started out in SCA. SCA was conservatively 10x…

I spent about 10 hours over a few days last week trying to get anything to work. I eventually gave up and I'm not new to this kind of thing. I feel your pain. This is why we'll never switch to SCA. It is as fun as editing the current reference checkout, but its your entire store and not just limited to the checkout.…

We looked at it and decide to just make Site Builder responsive (which is almost ready to go live on our site). It is much cheaper to do what we're doing and we didn't see much we'd be missing by not going with SCA. If we didn't leave SiteBuilder...then, a magento connector looks like a better option than SCA.

Olark works great with SiteBuilder and I imagine the same is true for SCA

Do you have a link for the quote above? Yea. The quote is from what "Bill C." said here... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users...2016-release-1 I don't find it that perplexing that NS owns an orphaned ecom platform. I do find it odd that they're not very transparent about it. Out of hundreds of comments in the UG (hence…

Too bad NS purchased the relatively obscure ignite-commerce back in 2012 and not a more user friendly widely used platform with tons of 3rd party developer interest (like Magento). We're constantly running into situations where widely used ecom add-ons (that would be great to have) are not available to us. We're told by…

Was this suppose to prevent a "serious degradation in performance for customers local to a datacenter". UPDATE : DNS Settings Changes Required for Data Center Agnostic Websites Recently, NetSuite announced that we are increasing the number of data centers in the United States and the European Union. To accommodate this…

Yea, it works for us now also IF the item is completely out of stock. The issue was reported wrong to begin with. Someone told me at our office and I made a UG post without looking at the issue closely. It was if we have one item in stock and they order more than one. In that case we'd like to see a note of some sort. It…

THANK YOU ROB!!!!!!! You're the best. NetSuite didn't know the answer to that problem and I was about to pay "professional services" to find the answer!

Our developer found the issue with some of the fields no longer working with Reference Checkout v2.04. He said: ...the problem with the script is that with Reference Checkout 2.04 version, NetSuite is no longer providing the entire item record, just specific fields. After reading a bunch of documentation that was written…

Each time they update SCA, do you have to re-do all customizations.... like it is with reference checkout upgrades? If so, then a definite "no go" for us. We've paid developers to do 4 or 5 customizations to our reference checkout (which we could do ourselves in old SB checkout) and now we've had to repay them twice to…

Good idea. Thinking out-loud: For saving a custom transaction field, NetSuite says to edit "Custom Checkout -> services -> live-order.ss" They say to edit the "POST section" of the code. That "POST" portion of the instructions is missing from the netSuite SuiteAnswers doc title "Add a Date of Birth Field on the New…

I've got no sandbox workaround. Well, not for the cart/registration pages. I have a sandbox workaround for categories & ite pages. Occasionally we make a tab hidden from the index and use it for testing web-store templates. What we're talking about is what is in these instructions:…

Anything is possible, just harder without updated instructions.

Vote for this enhancement if you feel so inclined... Defect #: 362114 Summary: SiteBuilder/SCA > On-Line Documentation > Reference Implementation Bundles > Provide detailed documentation for each version Alternate Solution: None Your defect has been prioritized as an S3 issue.

Also, there is a checkbox setting in NetSuite at "Setup-> Marketing -> Marketing Preferences" ...that says "UNSUBSCRIBED TO MARKETING BY DEFAULT" and we have it set to NO or unchecked. That particular setting seems to have ZERO control over the marketing checkbox behavior on our CUSTOMER REGISTRATION page in our web store.

NS answer I get: We have articles published on the Help Guide which details the Commerce API, Commerce Platform, and the Reference Implementations in general. These articles should be able to help you on the technology and framework of the system. We understand the Reference Implementation code is complex and if you have…

You can see how Bazaar Voice content appears on our NS Site Builder site here... http://www.signsdirect.com/18-Scroll-Bracket.html

Not sure about the "sports car" analogy. Sports cars are a pleasure to drive and have great performance and intuitive interface. More like flying a cold war spy plane without a user's manual.
-
Great points fourthwaveconsulting. Would you say the lesser of two evils is still site builder? I would ...based on my limited experiences with reference checkout and as I understand it ...Suite Commerce Advance is like having reference everything. It seems infinitely more complicated than site builder and some broken…

Might of had something to do with Google tag manager. I removed it and the issue went away. Then again, google tag manager didn't seem to effect the links before wwe upgraded to the newest version of reference checkout.
-
Seems this one was our doing. We put the google provided "tag manager" code in our <head> and not the <body> of our theme. Apparently that code somehow interfered with the "proceed" button and just in the address section of checkout.
-
Defect # 341689 ... Continue button doesn’t work on the Address page.
-
So, we reverted to the pre-reference version of the NS checkout. The bug bringing our checkout completely down is gone! The bugs blocking orders for various shipping issues still persists. So, the shipping bug we've had for several months now is NOT part of reference checkout. It is in the core of NS.
-
More specifically, our checkout is down. When users click "proceed to checkout" in the cart, then it loads and loads and loads and eventually displays a blank page with our header on it.
-
what has NS had to say about their position on NS stores working with GTS? Do they care about working with Google? Have they showed any interest in supporting their users in this area?
-
A customer called and asked about this....
-
I should mention that the continue button = "Address Save Button". So, if the customer thinks they can click through to the next step (eg: click the payment tab as a workaround) it won't work because no shipping or billing address will be saved.

We turned OFF reference checkout for now. We hadn't changed anything ..it just stopped working. We reverted to the old legacy NetSuite checkout. It was the only way to fix the issue. I think we'll start over and install the newest version and see if it fixes the issue. We were using version 2.03.1. The current version is…
