Can a DV Consumer access a DV project in any shared folder or would s/he need folder permissions?

Summary:

DV projects have the ability to be shared at the project level, theoretically. However, the user is unable to view/get read-only access to the project though it was shared with them and they have the DVConsumer application role.

What permissions would be needed for sharing a DV project and are the 2 following methods applicable for sharing?

1. Sharing by URL link for DV project
2. Sharing at the folder/sub-folder level.
