BI Publisher report output file from Oracle Fusion cloud suffixes the Template/Layout name at the end.

Business users while downloading these report outputs, they get a file with unwanted template name suffixed with it and it creates confusion.

Test Report 1_Layout1.PDF

Here we have "Test Report 1" as the report name and "Layout1" as the template name.

I observed this occurs in one of the standard report as well and Oracle Support also confirmed that it is an expected behavior (SR 3-21820659821)

Use Case and Business Need

Addressing this issue will help us to provide a meaningful, user friendly names to the report while downloading the report output. Business users don't want to see the template name suffixed with the report file name.

Right now in the application to generate the meaningful file name is only through the bursting.Once it is download we need to save as or rename to the desired.I don't think Oracle can take this as priority idea

It will be great to have report output as the Report Name and not include the Template Name at the end while downloading the output file. This will provide a better user experience.

A must to have feature as all the customers generally ask to have the naming convention as just the report name.

My client has similar issues. The report name and layout name are combined to generate the excel output, which shouldn't be a case

I am in favor of existing feature because a report can contain multiple template/layouts and in that case it helps the users to identify the template used when the report was run.

I recommend to have meaningful Layout/Template name while designing the report instead of asking for changing current behavior.

same requirement. we would like to download a report using the person number a suffix in the report name. Something like:

<Performance Document name>_<Person Number>

This is must have feature as adding Layout name to report name doesn't mean at all. File name is customer specific with sysdate sometimes.
