getting back to where I left the discussion with Joel...so I see AdminServer(admin) is running and listening on port 7001...now what do I need to get to analytics...?

I didn't realise that you installed OBIEE on Windows 10. This is not supported and this is why you're having these problems.
You're best bet is to look at the certification matrix that Cesar provided and ensure that your hardware is certified to run OBIEE. Windows 10 is a Client OS and you're attempting to install Enterprise software on it.

Hi,
First thing first: you look for Analytics in the wrong place: look at your last screenshot, the "bi_server1" is listening to port 9704 (last column on the right), so Analytics will be on localhost:9704/analytics .
Your issue now is more that the state of "bi_server1" is unknown, which doesn't mean anything good.
So forget Analytics for now, you must first get your "bi_server1" back.
If you switch to the tab "Control" you can try to start it...

thanks ...I did exactly that it is still doing something....I will keep you posted...appreciate your inputs....reinstall is the final option anyway...but let me try what ever is possible before that
