  • @3388135 : step back from your keyboard!

You are having having problems and reading only half of the answers here and clicking around randomly.

    1) Did you saw Analytics working on your system? Did you login once at least? As you are using the wrong port number I'm not sure, so why the hell did you went on deploying a RPD adding new possible causes of issues?

    2) Your "bi_server1" is in an UNKNOW state, your screenshot says it, not me. Did you ever saw the "bi_server1" as up?

    3) You are playing a bit too much with the certification matrix. It's true a client OS like Windows 7 or 8.1 is supported for OBIEE 11.1.1.9 but only for development. Keep in mind that Windows 10 didn't existed when OBIEE 11.1.1.9 was released. So just this is a reason for the messages above suggesting to not waste your time.

    4) Use a virtual machine, do not install things like OBIEE on your laptop OS, it's not like a little freeware soft you install and remove with 1 click. It's an entreprise solution that has nothing to do in the middle of your laptop OS.

    5) Look OBIEE Samples  and start with a SampleApp virtualmachine: it's isolated, you can destroy as much as you want and restart from scratch and most important: it works !

PS: you talk about reinstall, that's where a virtual machine would make your life easy: 1 click the VM is trashed and 1 other click you start with a clean state for your tests. I guess you can use Windows Server as trial for some time, or maybe you can still find a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 ISO somewhere, so you can have a supported system.

nothing is a vain in exercise Even if you lose you still learn and come out stronger the next time ....I am a fighter I do not give up...not so soon

  • Your node manager is probably not running ...

Node manager is the "piece" making the weblogic servers communicate together, so the admin server can talk to the manage server etc.

Simplest way: stop OBIEE with the Windows Start shortcut, when done try to start everything again with the shortcut. If you still end up with node manager down it can be one of the non supported OS effects. You can start node manager by command line, google for that (or check the doc).
