There is an enhancement request on this issue: Enh 35409326 - ENABLE WRITE BACK FUNCTIONALITY IN FAW How do I know if it is being worked on, if it's on the road map, cancelled or…?
-
Hi @Alex Haijen-Oracle Why is Writeback not possible in FDI/FAW? As far as I'm able to see, there is a lot of documentation on how to create writeback in OAC… And then, when you purchase FDI incl. OAC, it is suddenly not possible to use a functionality, that I don't see has that much to do with FDI? It seems a bit…

Hi @Sumanth V -Oracle Yes, I have refreshed the metadata after modifying the datamodel in BIP. The added column is not showing in the Attribute selection or column options after refresh. Do you think it would help to run the augmentation and then afterwards see if that has made any difference? Thank you :)
-
Or is it just not possible to create a new column in the ADW, once the BI Publisher augmentation dataset has been created, so you need to create it as a new data augmentation?
-
Hi @Vinithra B-Oracle I have some issues with this method, that you hopefully can help me with. My augmentation of BI Publisher reports works fine but when I add a column to the datamodel and therefore to the report I am augmenting in to FDI, the column is not showing… I am refreshing the metadata of the the data…

Thank You! So simple, but hard to find anyway :D

I am enabling this setting in FDI, but still my pivot tables are being exported with suppressed/merged rows… Anything that needs to be done for this to work, besides perhaps logging out and back in again (as I have done multiple times now? 😅 As far as I understand this feature, when enabled it should give you all the lines…

People are very confused that the default selection is PowerPoint, which is almost never used 😄🤦♂️ Please, give us the possibility to choose a default format and/or remove formats, that are not useful for our users… 🙏

Hi The Doc ID 2915472.1is not available anymore, so anyone who knows about this issue? We still can't access the system settings i OAC, and we have FDI/FAW installed. Regards Anders

Aaron Leggett has done a great job collecting all of the data lineage sheets in one thread here: List for all OTBI subject areas/dimensions (as of 23C) — Cloud Customer Connect (oracle.com)

Create a publishable sandbox (in a test-environment first!): You only need to choose "Page Composer": Then you click "Create and Enter" and navigate to the page that you want to edit: Then you can add the content of your choice and edit the appearance etc on the different menus connected to the object: When you are…

You need to create a sandbox, add the custom dashboard to the page and publish the sandbox

Perhaps you could find some help in this: Need report that shows all approval assignees who have NOT approved invoice — Cloud Customer Connect (oracle.com)

Perhaps this could help? OTBI Logical SQL complex query assembler — oracle-products

Or perhaps you just need to see the mapping of the subject area that the filters origins from and search for the name and see what the table and column-name is from there : List for all OTBI subject areas/dimensions (as of 23C) — Cloud Customer Connect (oracle.com)

It's a bit complex, you need to find the physical sql behind the analysis. I have created a very simple example from Payables Invoices - transactions real time, where I just want all invoice type code that are equal to "STANDARD": Once the analysis is done, I click on Administration and find Manage Sessions under Session…

Totally agree, I would also like to have a complete list from Oracle themselves, but haven't been able to find one... In the meantime, check this subject, where users themselves has tried to help each other with such a list: OTBI Complete List of Subject areas and ESS Jobs to populate with data — Cloud Customer Connect…

Apparently, expense line numbers is not behaving the same way in Fusion Cloud as it did in EBS... Or perhaps we have made some customization, that gives us line numbers pr expense report, for example that Expense_id x, y and z are line 1, 2 and 3 for a given expense report. I have identified, that the field that I need…

It would be so nice to be able to just click and get the field- and tablename, instead of this endless search to figure out where the fields are stored... It's not always as straightforward, as you'd hope and think...?

Don't know if this applies to your problem, but sometimes things can be resolved by switching which subject area you choose first.... But I would also be very interested in being able to choose which fact-column to join the subject areas on...
