Thx for the hint Christian. Do I correctly understand it, that I should always restart OPMN services after I made a change to our repository in online mode to prevent this issue? Shouldn't this bug be fixed by using version "12.2.1.1.0": 22733489 BIESG: CACHE NOT BEING PURGED WHEN DYNAMIC REPOSITORY VARIABLE CHANGES VALUE…

Yes the results are correct as shown in my above screenshot.

Unfortunately BI Publisher is not a solution for this task, since the specified analysis are from different kind of sources (direct SQL query, RDP / Essbase) and are merged on five dashboard pages which are combined within a briefing book for automated E-Mail transfer via Agents. Anyway thanks for both of your awnsers…

@ Gianni: I want to print out a nice PDF since currently the empty space within a document is just wasted for no reason. I keep saying to our customers that this is not our fault

In our company we solved this problem by providing our own SMTP-server and by creating a new senders E-Mail address. Then in MS Outlook we added this new E-Mail address / profile so you always get a message, if the recipient has not received an E-Mail created by an agent.

Is it possible to get the refresh function working withing preview mode of a dashboard since otherwise you will always see the top ribbon of Oracle BI which includes the menu bar? EDIT: Solved via analytics/saw.dll?PortalPages&PortalPath=

I am using SQL within an analysis to get information from our database via a predefined connection pool. That works so far. Afterwards I have created a performance tile and asigned a database attribute to it. That also worked well. In the last step I started to create the conditinal format to the tile and it showed the…

Hi Christian, Indeed it was a typo. We migrated from 12.2.1.0.0 to 12.2.1.2.0.

I would think you can disable access by not giving the role policy called "visualanalyzer.gernalAccess" within Enterprise Manager: When disabling this policy for a role it still shows the link on your BIEE homepage but when following it, it will show up a message with unsufficient permission level.

Okay. Thanks. Then we have to life with this matter. Anyway it seems Oracle could develop the functionality for agents a lot more, since: 1. The attached file name always is the name of the briefing book and can not be set within an agent 2. A timestamp can not be added to a file name of the attached briefing book 3. A…

Thanks for the advice. Now it seems to work eventhough I was pretty sure I enabled this policy in the past. Now I will check if I can figure out how to enable my weblogic user for connect via BI Administration tool, since it shows the error that the user has unsufficient permission level:

One more update: When using the direct link (https://xxx.com/analytics/saw.dll?bipublisherEntry&Done=%2fanalytics%2fsaw.dll%3fAdmin&Action=admin) to the section I receive the information that my weblogic admin user does not have the propper rights:

Ok I got it working again. I just restarted all services and it was successful. The login to Enterprise Manager also works. Thanks everyone for your help!

The question is, how does this new state help me since I can't connect to Enterprise Manager using web url?

Actually I just got the AdminServer running again: Starting specific servers ... Finished starting servers Status of Domain: /opt/oracle/base/product/fmw/user_projects/domains/bi NodeManager (modi.gwi-net.com:9506): RUNNING Name Type Machine Status ---- ---- ------- ------ AdminServer Server modi.gwi-net.com RUNNING…

Ok I have tried your suggestion but it has not worked. 1. New data directory was created 2. It shows me an error message: Starting AdminServer ... Unable to connect to AdminServer on host: Domain Failed to start one or more Servers /Servers/AdminServer/ListenPort=9500 Accessing admin server using URL t3://Domain:9500 Start…

Yeah I have just checked. When performing a "bi_Status" it tells me Note Manager is not running. Unfortunately it also seems that I can't restart it using shell.

I have tried using ./stop.sh and it shows the following output: Stopping domain; Using domainHome: /opt/oracle/base/product/fmw/user_projects/domains/bi ... Initializing WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) ... Welcome to WebLogic Server Administration Scripting Shell Type help() for help on available commands <May 24, 2017…

I do not have access to enterprise manager and also not to weblogic server administration console using the weblogic admin user. I just found out that there still exists one default Oracle role called "Admin". Unfortunately this role is not linked to any using within our system. Do you think it is worth it to use one of…

Does anyone know where the assigned rules and groups - which are used in Oracle Enterprise Manager Console - are stored on the file system? My thought was that I could simply replace this file with a file of a clean installation. Can maybe someone provide me such file since I only want to retrieve the default groups and…
