UX looks awesome - lots of attention to layout and fonts/icons. Love the consistency and flow.

That is a "must watch" session - getting the AI to mine the insights so quickly.

Thanks Arjun for the very prompt reply. Regards, Mark.

Have you got comments on the tables and the columns to help the LLM by providing better Metadata? See " Example: Improve SQL Query Generation with Table and Column Comments " at Also, you might find this useful using RAG with Select AI Regards, Mark.

I'd forgotten about this - but Since 19A,logs of audit and performance tuning data for BIP are held for a period of 90 days and the OTBI usage and performance subject areas came in release 20D and report on a rolling 6 months’ worth of data - so you can see what is actually being used - but I will have a look at what is…

Great to have all this info in 1 place and kept upto date!

Great Idea. A full SQL Developer interface to allow for developing, tuning, etc would be ideal. 1.0.0.20

That'd certainly be useful. Mark

Agreed

I would love to have read only query access via SQL Developer - even if that was locked down to accessing the non-production pod only so you can never affect production but could write/test/tune queries that eventually make their way to the BIP Modeller and ensure they are as honed as they can be. There is a web version of…

Hi Christine, The "along with best practise approach to use the Oracle reporting tools to deliver a report based on the spec" is something we normally do in a number of stages. The first being to perform an 'art of the possible' session with the stakeholders to let them understand the capabilities of the various tools…

Hi, The title (and content) of the embedded PDF document does't seem to refer to independent it is "View Business Intelligence View Objects that support OTBI dependent mode Release 13 (Update 19C)". Is there a list of the independent BIVO's? Mark

Hi Revital Are you referring to ALL reports or just the out of the box (OOTB) Oracle ones? Reports are not in a subject area as they are in the catalog - however if you want to know just out the OOTB ones then have a look at these and goto 'Review Prebuilt Analytics and Reports': HR OOTB Reports…

Looks like OTBI for HCM to me ... so no RPD editing. Have a look at this brilliant post from Julian Challenger and scroll down to 'commonly raised topics' https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/c04a4fe44d Mark 1.0.0.20

Hovering over it pops up the full name and a description though. Mark 1.0.0.20

I was a big fan too! 1.0.0.20

Hi Doug, I know what you mean ... see my post ... https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/10eb1343ef Philippe highlighted some options in the new version. Mark 1.0.0.20

I've happily connected DV, DataSync, etc where the product has a specific connector provided by Oracle and used BIP within OTBI, but I've not seen anyone natively directly connecting an on-prem BI Pub to Cloud ERP ( I'm assuming you want to ingest the Subject areas? ). Regards, Mark 1.0.0.20

Thanks Philippe, that's actually quite a useful new feature and I've changed the thing I was doing to use the explain functionality. Mark

Thanks Christian. You wouldn't believe how long i've spent today looking for it ! Mark 1.0.0.20
