@Alan Lee - Oracle-Oracle Alan, I don’t think , that what is described in blog, you are referring, can be used to migrate file-based data sets between 2 OAS (on- prem) environments or am I wrong ? Could you pls specify ? Btw I have created similar idea for the same in 2021:…

@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle Can you, pls confirm ? Thnks
-
@GabriellePrichard-Oracle From your last update it is obvious, that this feature is not available yet. But this Idea has "Delivered" status - which is than not correct. Could you, pls, change status of this Idea to something else like "Planned", pls . Thanks.
-
@Gabby Rubin-Oracle I completely agree with @Rajakumar Burra . What is currently available in OAC is not what has been requested in this Idea (and what is available in Classics) - thus having option to save customizations under specific names and then being able to retrieve it (thus applying all customizations on opened…

Hi @Dan Vlamis @Federico Venturin , I had (almost year ago, not sure whether since than there has been some improvements) very short opportunity to "play around" with Semantic Modeler (as we are OAS customer, where Semantic Modeler is still not available even in Preview) in OAC and there are plenty of BI Admin Tool…

@SteveF-Oracle I agree with you that educating people is always helpful, so thanks for that, this is worthy activity. And the link for series "Oracle Analytics Best Practices Series: Optimal Performance and Usage" is really very good, I wish there were more such "deep dive" content posted.

@SteveF-Oracle @EzequielC-Oracle Let me summarize a little bit you answers: 1) Advise to use Developer Options For troubleshooting long initial loading of workbook when the are not yet any logical SQL running/executing (as correctly pointed by Branden) , there are just something getting loaded (possibly parsing definition…

@Marcelo Finkielsztein Good point, Marcelo. Use-case I was describing is a little bit different from what has been originally asked by @User_LYZND and this is: We want to know, which analysis (reports) has not been executed by any user for some period of time (lets say one year - this period is a kind of parametr for…
-
@User_LYZND Answer to your question is very simple: nowhere. This area (meaning DV/analytics governance) is apparently not within top priorities of Analytics Product Mgmt (as opposed to other areas like augmented analytics for example). If you are on OAS (thus you have control over the infrastructure of "components" of…

@Benjamin Arnulf-Oracle Hi Ben, I would say, that what you are recommending to use (something like pareto chart using different visualization - overlay chart) is more a workaround than a final solution. I think, there should be native pareto chart visualization , where you will be able to define all "components" via…

@Temoryian @SteveF-Oracle Guys, my impression from you conversation is that each of you is talking about something else - @Temoryian is complaining, that export in DV workbook in OAS is not working for him at all (meaning export into different available formats - PDF, JPG, PPTX) and @SteveF-Oracle is replying, that Export…
-
@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle Thanks - I will wait for confirmation.
-
@Joshua Co @Jamie Anderson-Oracle This Idea is duplicate to this one: https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/discussion/10036/allow-users-to-organize-data-sets-into-folders-sub-folders - which has been created in July 2020 , in Planned status (it collected quite a lot of votes) So it would be fine to know,…
-
@Rajakumar Burra You posted Idea in Idea Lab - but your contribution is definitely not Idea for new feature/improvement in Oracle Analytics - so pls, use Oracle support for your issues, not Idea Lab....
-
I would make this requirement more generic: Have in DV data sets the possibility to model hierarchies (similar to hierarchies defined in semantic model) - time hierarchy is just special case of hierarchy (allowing you to use for example ToDate and Ago calculations).

@Alan Lee - Oracle-Oracle Thanks for clarification
-
Btw, what is also notable from this document is following: Feature: Inclusion of Oracle Analytics Clients as a part of Oracle Analytics Server installation Plan: Deprecated. Planned for desupport in Oracle Analytics Server 2024 update. This is , I would say, even worst message than Catalog Manager desupport. Pls, @Alan Lee…

@William Johnston See document What's Notable and Different in Oracle Analytics Server from OAS documentation set: https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/bi/analytics-server/whats-different-oas/index.html

@User_A8TPU If you encounter incorrect behavior,which has been working in previous release of OAS (which seems to be exactly your case) ,create SR with Oracle support and insist on providing the fix for it in OAS 2023 .You will need to create reproducible test case, but this should not be a problem, I guess.

In your logical SQL, try to provide some real default value for parameter P_DATE_VALEUR, instead of (''). This could help, I hope.
