Apparently I was missing adding this new ADW (using the FQDN) as a private source to the PAC for this particular OAC env. I read through at least a dozen Oracle docs and didn't see this task, but this blog pointed it out pretty clearly:…

@Ambient it won't let me choose the extracted folder or the extracted cwallet.sso file when creating the connection - message says only .zip files are supported, but thanks for the suggestion.

Both ADWs are on the same subnet, within the same IP range, have public access disabled and neither have a Network security group selected. I'm not well-versed in the network side of OCI so I may not be looking in the right place but from what I read since we're using private endpoints, NSGs should control access instead…

I see this is "planned", is there an estimated date for this feature to be implemented? This is a huge gap between OAC and other modern reporting tools from our users' perspective.

This would be a very impactful enhancement for our users, upvoted.

I also wasn't able to find any documentation on limits. My user who was asking the question was not receiving any error messages or unexpected behavior, but was more curious since the DV workbooks we publish have a limit of 15 saved states before they start getting overwritten. I advised him to create as many as he needs…

Definitely needed, will make maintaining workbooks much easier and cleaner.

Absolutely agree, this feature would be a huge benefit to our users as well. Is there any info available on a possible date for this to be approved for GovCloud?

Upvoted, this is a frequent ask from our user community.

This would be extremely useful and help ensure the quality of content.

Good idea, upvoted. We have a use case where we're using a DV workbook to collect prompt values which are then passed to an external API - if a user happens to select the "exclude" filter option they don't receive the intended results. Would be helpful if we could disable that option in this case.

@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle that is great news, thank you!

Editing to add that this is not an issue in an analysis dashboard page where we have a true "view selector" option and can individually format what is displayed based on a chosen view/parameter.

https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/discussion/comment/66865#Comment_66865 Agreed, we are having a lot of trouble with Last State as the initial default - users may not leave the workbook in a good state when they exit, prompt values in different dashboard prompts seem to get out of sync leading to "no…

This would be very useful, especially since our users are familiar with this styling from classic reports.
-
This is a great update, especially that it is customizable - our users don't know what to do when they hit the home page now so providing them some direction here would be very beneficial.

This is a much-needed feature, great idea - upvoted.

Absolutely agree with this, great suggestion.

Agreed, this would be a very beneficial feature - we've also run into this issue where we have to force the field/calc name to be able to display correctly in charts.

Ah! Thanks @SteveF-Oracle ! Totally missed that, I'm sure that's what I'm looking for. Hey, you have much better beaches in Florida, I'm jealous!
