Percentage Rate (0.207%) Rounded to Two Decimal Places in LTD Deduction Calculation

edited Mar 10, 2026 11:46AM in Benefits

Description:
We have configured an LTD employee deduction that is calculated as 0.207% of earnings per paycheck.
During payroll calculation, the system appears to round the configured percentage rate to two decimal places, resulting in the rate being applied as 0.21% instead of 0.207%.

Example:
Configured Rate: 0.207%
Calculated Rate Applied by System: 0.21%

Issue:
Oracle is rounding to Two Decimal Place instead of original percentage amount entered
This creates a concern because:
  •  The deduction is defined contractually as 0.207%.
  •  Many employees do not reach the annual LTD maximum, so the rounding difference accumulates over time.
  •  As a result, employees may pay more than the contractually defined premium.

Howdy, Stranger!
