Our client would like to review one group of employees during March, and another group during January, setting up the need for multiple Review Periods

My client would like to evaluate one group of employees during March, and another group during January. They would also like the two groups to use different rating models. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this type of situation. Is it a good idea to have two different overlapping review periods, or will that have some unforeseen downstream effects? I can already imagine that it would require using two different goal plans.
