We've added a new framework for providing alternative type-ahead experiences, presenting type-ahead results using keywords instead of presenting matching products in a list.

Prior to 19A, the type-ahead feature only returned products.

 

This framework allows merchants to:

 

  • Upload JSON data that reflects the information they want to populate type-ahead with.
  • Have this data be automatically indexed by search as part of the regular publish process or indexed via direct API call to the admin search index endpoint.
