Squencing logic for knowledge articles in the search results on the My Knowledge

Can anybody help with sharing the knowledge on the logic followed by the search engine to sequence the search results displayed on the My Knowledge screen when matches are found for the search terms?

I'm particularly interested in finding out whether favoriting and ratings present on the knowledge articles influences to push up the matching articles in the results?
