Summary

Set up an specific start date when a benefit payroll element entry is created

We have a benefit in which employee can enroll during the following data range every year: from February 1st to March 10th.
And every year this benefit is pay in March payroll, independently if the employee was requesting the benefit during February

Once the employee is enrolled the benefit is suspended until the employee give the required documentation. Only in that moment, pending action is approved by Benefit Specialist and based on the received date completed in the pending action, if there is not more pending action, benefit payroll element entry is created with the same date. For instance, if employee get enroll on February 3rd, Benefit Specialist complete pending action (for certification) with received date on February 10th, then the effective start date for the element entry is February 10th.
