Buying same item as 3 way and 2 way match and BPA management
Common term for this scenario is "bill only." Some items are usually purchased in a three way match on a BPA via automated replenishment, but are occasionally also ordered as a two way match. For example, when an item wasn't on hand, and a supplier representative was on site, provided a unit, and then submitted the information at a later time so they can bill for the item. The price is the same in both instances.
If we have two BPAs, or two lines on the same BPA, one for 3 way and one for 2 way match, the 2 way match version may be selected by automated replenishment, and an end user manually requisitioning won't know which version to select. The volume of transactions is too high to expect users to submit a manual requisition and look up the price on the agreement separately. We want the order to consume against the BPA agreement as well.
