2023 New open enrollment benefits were not taken on the first check of 2023

Hi All,
We pay in 1 week in arrears meaning we pay back 1 week. We pay on Fridays for the week back. our payroll is weekly payroll. Our open enrollment went smoothly and everything seemed to be in alignment but then we found out that the first check of 2023 which is the 6th of January(for the period from 25th Dec to 31st Dec) old 2022 deductions were taken. The system did not take the 2023 deductions at all.
