Timecard calc rule: how to create payroll time on a day that has ONLY absences?

Summary: We have a calc rule and corresponding formula to try to create payroll time on a day where there are ONLY absences. For example: let us say you are scheduled to work 10 hours a day. You entered an 8-hour absence. (This is OK because we have all absences capped at 8 hours in the absence module.) We would want to create payroll time (Regular Overtime Pay) for 2 hours on that same day on the calc timecard.

Keep in mind we have absences and timecards integrated.

Content: The problem is: Oracle displays the payroll time on the calc timecard for 2 hours, which is good. But after transferring time to payroll, the time does NOT appear in HR or when processing payroll. We do not have any custom payroll flows, etc. We use the delivered flows, especially regarding the transfer of time from timecards to HR/payroll.

Howdy, Stranger!
